If the result is questioned a second test of the same milk sample must be done within 15 minutes of doing the first one to determine the right result. A positive result can change into a negative result as the antibiotics’ “activity” on the dipstick lessens and the milk dries up.
Remember to always use fresh milk when doing the test.
